Thank You

Thank you!

Nour recently penned a heartfelt letter addressed to the everyone who has assisted with the Duas For Nour campaign, including all of you! Mashallah the letter was so beautiful, that we felt that we should post some of it on here, to give you a sense of who Nour is. Below are a few excerpts from that letter.

SubhanAllah it is difficult to complain when Allah swt has given you so much good. Truly I am blessed to know you all and have learned so much from your words, actions, and character. I’m sure that you’re not even aware of the extent to which you’ve taught me how to embody the Islamic character. May Allah subhanahu wa ta’alaa reward you and bless you and increase you in good.

How great is this Deen! And how Merciful is Allah swt our Rabb! I pray that Allah subhanahu wa ta’alaa removes every single one of your troubles on the Day of Judgement and that He subhanahu wa ta’alaa gives you all refuge in His Mercy from His Wrath and refuge in His Forgiveness from His Punishment. I pray that He subhanahu wa ta’alaa elevates your rank in Jannah and that increases you in doing what pleases Him and admits you to highest gardens of Al Firdous and that I am also blessed to be reunited with you all there.

I’ve already had surgery three times but perhaps Allah subhanahu wa ta’alaa has chosen to bring me to this point to help me to experience the love, care and brotherhood of this Ummah. After the first surgery and after each subsequent surgery I had consulted with this surgeon for my condition, but I didn’t go with him because of the cost. This time I had run out options, I had to go with this surgeons because one, not many surgeons would do my surgery and two, I couldn’t take anymore chances and had to go with the best. So I initially wondered how it would happen. Then I just felt a sense of peace when I realized that that if Allah subhanahu wa ta’alaa had planned for me to be cured there then He would provide me the means. “And whosoever is conscious of Allah, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Indeed Allah has sent a measure for all things.” (Quran: 65/2-3). I write this with tears in my eyes ….

When I became Muslim I was enthralled by the beauty of this Deen. I was so impressed reading about the beautiful and rare qualities that the Muslim character possesses. Reading about this was one thing, but it wasn’t until I met some of these amazing sisters and brothers that I was able to see these qualities manifested. It’s amazing that the longer that I am a part of it, the more I love this Ummah and see the tremendous amount of good in it and pray to Allah subhanahu wa ta’alaa to unite us once again as a beacon of light in this dark world.

So I really pray to Allah subhanahu wa ta’alaa to cure me through this surgery that you all helped with so that you are all rewarded for the removal of my pain. Also that He subhanahu wa ta’alaa helps me to use my life for His sake and that you are rewarded for any good that He swt chooses to accomplish through me.

The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wasalaam said: If anyone fulfills his brother’s needs, Allah will fulfill his needs; if one relieves a Muslim of his troubles, Allah will relieve his troubles on the Day of Resurrection.. [Bukhari and Muslim]. And also, ” He who removes from a believer one of his difficulties of this world, Allah will remove one of his troubles on this Day of Resurrection and he who finds relief for a hard-pressed person, Allah will make things easy for him on the Day of Resurrection; he who covers up (the faults and sins) of a Muslim, Allah will cover up (his faults and sins) in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah supports His slave as long as the slave is supportive of his brother..” [Muslim].

JAZAKALLAHU KHAYR FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT

  1. SubhaanAllaah, this brought tears to my eyes. Not many can see the good in the ummah, but truly there is good in it as the prophet salla llaahu alaihi wa sallam and his sahaabas would say. Alhamdulillaah Nour you are one who sees it. May Allaah bless you Ameen. I Pray He grants you shifaa, ease and Jannatul Firdous Ameen!
